Marie Talašová

"I was motivated to become a VIAC Ambassador because VIAC represents a highly respected and trusted institution, demonstrating how arbitration can serve as an ideal mechanism for resolving disputes in international commerce. Its efficiency, confidentiality, and well-structured case management make it particularly valuable for parties operating across borders. In Central and Eastern Europe, where cross-border transactions continue to grow, arbitration under institutions like VIAC plays a crucial role in providing neutral, reliable, and effective dispute resolution."

Marie Talašová is an international arbitration lawyer and arbitrator with a strong focus on international commercial and investment arbitration. She regularly acts as counsel in cross-border disputes and high-stakes negotiations under major arbitration frameworks, including VIAC, ICC, UNCITRAL, and ICSID-related proceedings.

She began her legal career in the United States, working with international law firms on cross-border disputes, before holding senior roles in private practice and the public sector in Europe.

Marie is the Managing Partner of Talasova Legal, advising companies and investors on complex international disputes, enforcement of arbitral awards, sanctions, and strategic regulatory matters, including proceedings before Czech courts, international arbitral tribunals, and regulatory authorities. She is also an independent arbitrator at the Arbitration Court attached to the Prague Stock Exchange and is actively engaged in the international arbitration community.
