Professional Expertise and Experience
Mediation
My mediation practice and research experience spans Africa, Europe, and the USA, where my core professional activity centers on facilitative mediation and co-mediation to resolve disputes across family, property, debt settlement, insurance, and corporate business issues.
Legal
As an IT, IP, and contract legal professional, my core activity centers on managing fintech legal compliance, drafting and negotiating complex local and transnational digital service agreements, and conducting advanced research on intellectual property, data protection, and emerging technologies.
Research
My publications focus on the intersection of alternative dispute resolution and legal framework analysis, specifically examining mediator ethics, the voluntariness and discontinuation of mediation , the management of traditional knowledge and indigenous disputes , and socio-legal approaches to international conflicts and war children.
Practiced Experience in Mediation
My mediation practice and research experience spans Africa, Europe, and the USA. My core professional activity centers on facilitative mediation and co-mediation to resolve disputes across family, property, debt settlement, insurance, and corporate business issues. Over my career, I have facilitated numerous cases, including court-annexed mediations for the Circuit Court for Baltimore County in Maryland and Mediation and Restoration Services (MARS) in Minnesota. This portfolio is further supported by an international internship and dispute resolution research with the World Mediation Organization in Berlin.
Areas of Expertise
Information Technology (IT) Lawyer
Leveraging an LLM in IT Law alongside my experience as the legal manager of a fintech company, I have conducted extensive research on emerging technology regulations—including AI governance and data protection—and analyzed their strategic impact on both commercial and legal stakeholders.
Intellectual Property (IP) (Researcher)
My expertise includes conducting research on intellectual property protection, spanning trade secrets, patents, copyrights, and trademarks, with a specialized focus on emerging indigenous rights.
Commercial Contract (Mediator and lawyer)
As a fintech legal manager and contract professional, I have structured, drafted, and negotiated complex local and transnational digital service agreements governing liability and data security, while also drafting comprehensive settlement agreements that clearly articulate the parties\' mutual commitments.
Insurance (Mediator)
I have mediated commercial insurance claims involving accident and breach of contract.
Tenancy (Mediator and lawyer)
I have extensive experience mediating and drafting settlement terms for both local and digital tenancy disputes, serving courts and institutions in the real estate sector. I have also drafted and reviewed tenancy/lease agreements.
Property (Mediator and lawyer)
As a lawyer and co-mediator, I have managed diverse property transactions and land disputes, handling real estate title searches, sales, purchase and registrations.
Partnership (Mediator)
Operating within the commercial sector, I have co-mediated a case to align stakeholder interests and establish a clear operational framework for a professional partnership.
Mediation Style
My preferred approach is facilitative, meaning you retain full decision-making power while I guide the process to help you find your mutually beneficial solutions. My style is collaborative and future-focused, managing emotional tension and ensuring a balanced environment where both sides feel genuinely heard. Using key soft skills like listening, neutral reframing, and creative questioning, I help you strip away blame and uncover hidden paths to a lasting agreement.
