Professional Expertise and Experience
Dispute Resolution
My core area of professional practice is dedicated to dispute resolution, and includes mediation, arbitration and litigation. I began my practice in dispute resolution as a lawyer in 2006 in a law firm setting and, since 2025, I have worked as an independent practitioner. I offer services as mediator, arbitrator, counsel, and consultant.
Practiced Experience in Mediation
My experience in mediation extends to disputes involving international sales, energy, post-M&A, breach of contract, construction, premises liability, and workplace matters. These matters have included court-ordered mediation as well as voluntary mediation.
Areas of Expertise
Energy
I have advised international energy companies as counsel in mediations involving sales, breach of contract, delivery, and termination of contract.
Construction
I have advised a European construction company in mediation concerning the final settlement of accounts with between the owner, contractor and subcontractors.
Sales/manufacturing
I acted in a mediation between a US buyer and a European manufacturer regarding payment for deliveries and alleged defects in a machine that was manufactured by the seller for the buyer.
Post-M&A
I advised a client as counsel when mediating a post-M&A dispute regarding alleged breaches of representations and warranties and the release of funds held in escrow.
Premises liability
I advised a client during court-ordered mediation involving a tort claim/premises liability.
Mediation Style
I have employed various types of mediation styles depending on the matter at hand, including facilitative, evaluative, narrative, and settlement-focused styles. I am an advocate for authenticity and openness in communication.
