Dr. Eveli Lume is a partner in the International Dispute Resolution Practice of Squire Patton Boggs. She is an international arbitration specialist with a practice exclusively focused on complex international disputes. Eveli is instructed in high-stakes international arbitrations, including both investor-state and commercial international arbitrations under the auspices of leading arbitration institutions. An Estonian national, educated and admitted to practice in Estonia and Germany, and regularly working in English, German, Estonian and Russian, her practice is uniquely international. She represents states, state-owned entities, and private sector companies in arbitrations across a broad range of sectors, including energy, water, construction, mining, telecommunications, food, and ceramics.
Eveli also acts as an arbitrator. In December 2023, the Republic of Estonia appointed her to the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators.
In addition to her practice, Eveli contributes to the International Dispute Resolution LL.M. program at Humboldt University of Berlin as a guest lecturer on public international law and as a supervisor. She also teaches international arbitration and international investment law at the University of Tartu in Estonia.
