VIAC Legal Tech Think Tank<\/h1>\n

The VIAC Legal Tech Think Tank (VIAC LTTT) is an initiative by VIAC to address the growing impact of digital transformation and innovation in the tech sector in ADR.<\/p>\n

As the tech industry continues to experience rapid digital transformation and innovation, new product areas such as cryptocurrency, blockchain, and AI are giving rise to new types of commercial disputes. In addition, increased government regulation of big tech companies is expected to lead to a rise in tech-related investor-State disputes. We want to be fit for the future. It is vital for our growth to gather the expertise and knowledge of thought leaders in the sector to steer the institution in the right direction.<\/p>\n

The VIAC Legal Tech Think Tank ensures that VIAC remains at the forefront of technological developments and responsive to the evolving needs of technology-related disputes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Developing the VIAC Guidelines on Digital Evidence<\/span>, which will address pressing issues in international arbitration, including deepfakes, digital impersonation, corrupted or lost data, and the use of AI.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2025, another LTTT workstream culminated in the publication of the <\/span>VIAC Note on the Use of AI in Arbitration Proceedings<\/span>, designed to facilitate discussions on the responsible and effective use of AI in VIAC arbitrations. The Note is available <\/span>here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The VIAC LTTT brings together experts from the technology sector and alternative dispute resolution to work together on innovative solutions to new challenges. The working group currently consists of 20 members.<\/span><\/p>\n

VIAC Legal Tech Think TankThe VIAC Legal Tech Think Tank (VIAC LTTT) is an initiative by VIAC to address the growing impact of digital transformation and innovation in the tech sector in ADR. As the tech industry continues to experience rapid digital transformation and innovation, new product areas such as cryptocurrency, blockchain, and AI are giving rise to new types of commercial disputes. In addition, increased government regulation of big tech companies is expected to lead to a rise in tech-related investor-State disputes. We want to be fit for the future.
