The VIAC Legal Tech Think Tank (VIAC LTTT) is an initiative by VIAC to address the growing impact of digital transformation and innovation in the tech sector in ADR.<\/p>\n

As the tech industry continues to experience rapid digital transformation and innovation, new product areas such as cryptocurrency, blockchain, and AI are giving rise to new types of commercial disputes. In addition, increased government regulation of big tech companies is expected to lead to a rise in tech-related investor-State disputes. We want to be fit for the future. It is vital for our growth to gather the expertise and knowledge of thought leaders in the sector to steer the institution in the right direction.<\/p>\n

Adapting Vienna Rules to make them meet the needs of the parties in tech disputes<\/p>\n

The VIAC LTTT aims to analyse the impact of AI on transparency and disclosure obligations in arbitration proceedings. Both opportunities and risks arising from the use of AI in the collection and evaluation of evidence will be analysed. A particular focus is on the development of a Note on AI to ensure that the use of AI supports the integrity and fairness of arbitration proceedings.<\/p>\n

VIAC LTTT brings together experts from the technology sector and alternative dispute resolution to work together on innovative solutions to new challenges. The working group currently consists of 20 members.<\/p>\n

VIAC Legal Tech Think TankThe VIAC Legal Tech Think Tank (VIAC LTTT) is an initiative by VIAC to address the growing impact of digital transformation and innovation in the tech sector in ADR. As the tech industry continues to experience rapid digital transformation and innovation, new product areas such as cryptocurrency, blockchain, and AI are giving rise to new types of commercial disputes.
