360° ADR Midweek Talk

Description

Corruption and mediation

Corruption is still one of the pressing problems in international trade and commerce, even if most countries adopted a no tolerance policy in this regard. How are corruption issues dealt with in mediation? Is mediation a better place to deal with these issues than arbitration or state courts? What does a mediator have to do if issues of corruption arise?

Thomas John (German and Australian trained Barrister, Co-founder of Grotius Chambers and CIArb and ADR Registry International accredited mediator, arbitrator and negotiator with resolution2resolve) and Amelie Huber-Starlinger (Mediator accredited in Austria, England (CEDR) and Singapore (SIMI)) will discuss and shed some light on above questions.
